DIY: Binder key holder.

June 29, 2010

I got this idea from a girl on Etsy.com a long time ago, but just recently decided to make one myself. Everyone has old binders lying around generally and if you’re looking for a new key holder, why not use one of those old binders?

Steps:
1) Take an old binder and cut off one whole side of it so that you have the rings left and one of the large rectangle sides.
2) Print out an 8×10 of your favourite photo and tape or glue it on.

Here’s a few photos that I found online for examples you can take a look at:

The one I made (If I ever get around to putting photos of it up..) is made from an old black binder and I have an image that was given to me years ago by a fellow photographer of a train station at night. :)

Enjoy!

Jewlery!

I’ve taken up a new hobby in the past few weeks. Earring making! I’ve made about 25 pairs in the past two weeks. It’s actually really satisfying working on something and then finishing it and being able to wear it or give it away, or just keep it. If you wanna check out my shop on Etsy where you can buy stuff you can go here.

Here’s a few of my favourites I’ve made so far:

I took a few minutes today to try out a tutorial and I stumbled upon this one. It’s a tutorial on how to make those pretty aurora wallpapers.

This is what I ended up with :

There’s a link in the freebies section if you want it!

I found this awesome little idea on Marthastewart.com.

DIY : Necklace.

I was tired of homework last night so I decided I wanted to give jewelry making a try. I spent almost an hour at the craft store trying to pick stuff out and ended up creating this :

Which can be purchased here. :)

I found jewelry making to be really satisfying and I think I’d like to try making earrings next since they’re a guilty pleasure of mine.
