Business cards are one of my guilty pleasures. Here are 15 awesomely designed cards. Every thumbnail opens up in a full view with the designers website on the bottom. Enjoy!
Also, please note how beautifully they’re all presented. : )
I’ve been trying to practice logo work. It’s probably one of my more grey areas and it’s definitely a skill you need to have. I’ve been messing around on 99Designs.com. Basically a bunch of clients submit a brief and then you can choose to enter (at no cost to you) any of the categories. There’s stationery, website, logos, WordPress, etc… It’s awesome.
Best part — if you win, you get mula. Most of the contests are prepaid so you’re guaranteed to get paid if you win. I find it helps me with my designing. I don’t expect to win or anything, but if you get a good client they tell you what they like and don’t like and sometimes they’ll give you advice and stuff. It’s a pretty sweet deal.
The other morning I woke up and my room was bright pink/orange/yellow. I was half asleep and had no idea what was going on. Until I opened my blinds.
It was ridiculously beautiful. It took up as much sky as I could see.

I decided to start an ‘idea book’. It’s basically a mini scrap book composed of things I find that I like. Whether it be the text, photo, colour, layout, etc… I’ve been going through all my old magazines. It’s a neat tool for if you ever get stuck on an idea.
One of my good friends came over today and we had a session. She’s a painter and wanted something fun done with paint. It was a little awkward at first, her being topless and all, but after a while we relaxed. Pretty sure my favourite part of the whole day was her trying to do a handstand against my wall. Epic failure.
Yes, I know the thumbnails are skewed.
